Slot Machine Etiquette
There have been a lot of articles explaining the appropriate procedures and etiquette for playing table games. However, video poker and slot players usually overlook the etiquette required. Slot games are solitary and hence they do not require interaction with the other players. There are some of the effective slot etiquette tips.
- To begin with, whenever you spot a coin cup on the handles of the machine or on the seat in front of the table, it means that the machine is being used by another individual. In casinos that do not use the coins for the slots, the players usually place some of their personal objects such as a jacket or a stroll on the chair to hold it. You must in all cases respect this and hunt for another machine.
- If you are holding on to one slot machine, then you must get back as soon as possible and must take breaks only when required. In some casinos, there are slot attendants who take care of your machine while you are away. As a gesture, you must tip the attendant.
- Some players like playing on a lot of machines at the same time. However, during crowded times, it is necessary to refrain from playing on more than one machine.
- There are chances that the previous player might forget the card in the slot machine. However, when you insert your card in the machine, it is customary to place the other player’s card on the top of the machine.
- There are some parts of the casino that allow you to smoke. However, if you are a smoker then you must position cigarette or the ash tray in a way that the smoke might not annoy the other players.
